Academic Senate Message

Welcome to Long Beach City College! The LBCC faculty is committed to providing a student-centered and equity-minded learning environment and supporting you in every step of your educational endeavors. At LBCC, you have a myriad of opportunities to receive the preparation you need to begin or change a career by selecting one of our outstanding certificate programs. If you choose to transfer to a four-year institution, you can complete your general education courses for a Baccalaureate degree and receive a certification for these units. Also, you can develop an area of concentration that will allow you to select a major and enter one of the numerous four-year institutions in Southern California. Counseling and other student service programs help you in your course selection, career preparation, and transfer goals. It is our privilege to share in your education. We look forward to meeting you, talking with you, working with you, and learning with you. LBCC faculty are here to support YOU in pursuing your academic and personal goals.
