Social Work and Human Services - Associate in Arts Transfer Degree

This program is designed to prepare students for transfer to a CSU Social Work or a similar major. It gives students the skills and resources necessary for entry-level employment and provides a theoretical foundational knowledge of human development, human behavior and issues related to race, ethnicity and the environment. Students gain an understanding of intersectionality as it applies to working with families and the community.
Program Student Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate the ability to attain the Institutional Student Learning Outcomes (ISLOs).
- Demonstrate ability to work with a diverse population to resolve chronic and crisis issues that are likely to have a detrimental impact on the health and well-being of families and the community.
