This program is designed to teach students and members of the community the fundamentals of information literacy and media literacy as well as advanced topics on scholarly research in an academic setting. This program helps students understand the information landscape, how to identify fake news and misinformation, formulate research questions, and how to effectively navigate online searches using the Internet and academic databases. The program introduces students to the philosophical, ethical, and legal issues that surround information. There are no material fees for the courses associated with this program.
